Pitt at No. 1 Miami: Your Guide to Saturday's Noon Kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium
The Canes play their first game as the nation's No. 1 team on Saturday at noon.
For the first time since 2002, the Miami Hurricanes take the field at Hard Rock Stadium as the No. 1 team in the country. Pitt comes to town for a noon kickoff on Saturday, October 24, the Canes' first afternoon home game of the season. Here is what you need to know.
Pitt (5-2, 2-2 ACC) at No. 1 Miami (6-0, 4-0 ACC): Saturday, October 24, 2026, 12:00 p.m., Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive. TV: ESPN. Parking opens: about 7:00 a.m., five hours before kickoff.
Where things stand
Miami is coming off a 43-35 double-overtime win over Florida State that sent the Canes to the top of the AP poll. Pitt arrives at 5-2, but injuries at quarterback have slowed a team that started the season strong.
Don't overlook the Panthers
Miami leads the all-time series 30-12-1, but Pitt has had success in South Florida. The Panthers have won two of their last five visits, including a 42-16 win at Hard Rock Stadium in 2022. Pitt also brings one of the better defensive lines in the conference, so this is a real test for the new No. 1.
