Originally called "Country Club Estates," the planned community was built around the Miami Springs Golf & Country Club and featured innovative Pueblo Revival architecture that set it apart from any other South Florida city.
Glenn Curtiss was a true renaissance manβmotorcycle speed record holder (136 mph in 1907), aviation pioneer who rivaled the Wright Brothers, inventor with hundreds of patents, and visionary developer who also founded Hialeah and Opa-locka. His 1925 Pueblo Revival mansion remains a cherished historic landmark on the National Register of Historic Places.
Today, Miami Springs maintains its small-town character with tree-lined streets, unique Southwestern architecture, and a strong sense of community.
