Discover Brickell

Brickell is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida, historically referred to as Southside, located directly east of Interstate 95, north of Coconut Grove, and directly south of Downtown Miami and the Miami River. A significant part of Greater Downtown Miami, Brickell is known as the financial district of Miami and South Florida.

Brickell was founded in the mid-19th century and grew to become Miami's "Millionaire's Row" in the early 20th century after the construction of lavish mansions along Brickell Avenue by Mary Brickell. Both the avenue and neighborhood were named for Mary and her husband William Brickell, who were among Miami's first settlers in 1871. By the 1970s, office towers, hotels, and apartments began replacing the historic mansions, and Brickell overtook the city's central business district to the north as one of the largest financial districts in the United States.

Today, Brickell is home to 31,759 year-round residents, though it feels much more populated due to over 190,000 office employees who work in Greater Downtown. Although Brickell was known primarily as a financial district, in recent years construction of numerous residential and mixed-use towers has reshaped the neighborhood into a thriving residential community. Brickell now offers residents a walkable lifestyle where work and entertainment converge amid gleaming skyscrapers, luxury shopping, world-class dining, and waterfront views of Biscayne Bay.

๐ŸŒ† Wall Street of the South

Brickell is Miami's booming upscale Southern Wall Street. Framed by lavish towering skyscrapers overlooking the gleaming Biscayne Bay, served by an elevated metro-rail system, and brimming with trendy art galleries and luxury fashion boutiques, Brickell is Miami's hub for innovation, gastronomy, wellness, and style.
