Polls open at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3.
Early voting is over, and Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3. If you haven't voted yet, here is everything Miami Gardens voters need to know to cast a ballot quickly and confidently.
When: Tuesday, November 3, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you are in line by 7:00 p.m., you can vote. Where: Your assigned polling place only. Bring: A current photo ID with your signature. Mail ballots: Must be received by 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Go to your assigned polling place
Unlike early voting, you can't vote at any site on Election Day. You must go to the polling place assigned to your home address. Find it on your voter information card or through the Miami-Dade County Elections Department before you leave.
Bring the right ID
Bring a current photo ID that includes your signature, such as a Florida driver license or Florida ID card. If your photo ID has no signature, bring a second ID that does.
If you have a mail ballot
Mail ballots must be received by the Elections Department by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Postmarks don't count, so it is too late to safely mail one now. Contact the Elections Department for in-person drop-off options on Election Day. If you requested a mail ballot but want to vote in person instead, bring the mail ballot with you to your polling place.
What's on your ballot
Miami Gardens voters will see federal, state, and county races, plus:
Local races
The City Council Seat 4 runoff between Mykita Cherry-Prime and Rod Mack (Seat 4 voters only) and the School Board District 1 runoff between Katrina Wilson and Linda Cothiere. Read our Miami Gardens voter guide.
Statewide amendments
Three proposed constitutional amendments, including Amendment 3 on property taxes, which needs 60% to pass. Read our Amendment 3 explainer.
County questions
Six county charter amendments and a school tax renewal. Read our local ballot questions explainer.
Getting there
Freebee offers free rides within its Miami Gardens service area from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If your polling place is inside the zone, it could be a free way to get there. See our Freebee guide.
When to expect results
Early results usually begin to appear on the Miami-Dade Elections Department website shortly after polls close at 7:00 p.m. We will post results for the Seat 4 runoff, the School Board runoff, Amendment 3, and the county questions as they come in.
