Early voting runs for two weeks, from October 19 through November 1.

Early voting for the November 3 election starts tomorrow, Monday, October 19, and runs for two full weeks. Here is a quick checklist so Miami Gardens voters can get in, vote, and get on with their day.

Your checklist

When: Monday, October 19, through Sunday, November 1. Sites open at 7:00 a.m. Where: Any of Miami-Dade's 28 early voting sites. In Miami Gardens: North Dade Regional Library, 2455 NW 183rd Street. Bring: A current photo ID with your signature.

1. Pick your site

You can vote at any early voting site in Miami-Dade County, not just the one closest to home. North Dade Regional Library is the site inside Miami Gardens, and nearby options include the Miami Lakes Community Center, Arcola Lakes Branch Library, and North Miami Public Library. Our early voting guide has the full list of nearby sites.

2. Check the wait

North Dade Regional Library can get busy. The Miami-Dade Elections Department posts wait times for early voting sites, so check before you leave home. Weekday mornings and midday tend to be calmer.

3. Bring the right ID

Bring a current photo ID that includes your signature, such as a Florida driver license or Florida ID card. If your photo ID has no signature, bring a second ID that does.

Two weeks, 28 sites, and a short line if you plan ahead.

4. Know your ballot

Miami Gardens voters will see the City Council Seat 4 runoff (for Seat 4 voters), the School Board District 1 runoff, three statewide constitutional amendments including Amendment 3 on property taxes, and county, state, and federal races. Reviewing your sample ballot first makes voting faster. Read our Miami Gardens voter guide and our Amendment 3 explainer.

5. Voting by mail?

The deadline to request a mail ballot is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22. Completed mail ballots can be dropped off at any early voting site during early voting hours and must be received by 7:00 p.m. on November 3.

Need a ride?

If your early voting site is inside the service area, Freebee offers free rides around Miami Gardens from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. See our Freebee guide.
